Your Space Health & Fitness Club Pontefract, part of the Barnsley Premier Leisure Group (BPL) tasked us with providing a gym flooring specification for 2 areas. The group had a timescale of 2 weeks.
The two areas at Your Space Pontefract we were asked to provide the flooring solutions for were a functional studio space and a functional Omnia 8 floor. BPL wanted our guide to provide the most appropriate flooring for both areas taking into account performance and aesthetics. It was vitally important that the flooring represented their changing brand in the correct way.
After we had completed our consultative process to discuss the available floor specifications and finishes, BPL chose our RECSystems Rubber Sandwich for both areas but in different colours (light grey for the Omnia area and dark grey for the functional studio). They also chose our RECSystems sledge track in our popular design with numbers and distance indicators.
We also had to make sure the subfloor was remedied to ensure there was a good base for the new gym flooring. This was all carried out by our in-house team.
We completed the project on time and on budget. We advised BPL to go with black markings for the Omnia 8 floor and they are over the moon with the finished spaces.
We are pleased that BPL will be using us on future projects with the next one planned for the new year.
