Aberystwyth University asked us to provide an alternative surface option to a tired existing maple strip sports floor at the University. The university staff wanted an alternative option to the two Boen timber floors we have installed over recent years. We knew that there were issues with the floor and there was some uncertainty as to what services ran under the existing timber floor.
The main criteria were to ensure the flooring was suitable for a mix of use. High priorities were Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball and Dance.
A decision was made to install our EN 14904 compliant low-profile area elastic polyurethane system. The flooring installation including line-markings and logos was completed in only 6 days!
As our pictures show we have completely transformed the space and provided a top-class surface for University Students for many years to come.
